Just wanted to say good work again to Pete for getting the Overclocking site up so fast.

To all of our members new and old I just want you all to know that if you are interested in overclocking there are a few of us here (me, viper, punisher and a few others) that know a thing or tow about it. So if you are interested in learning we are going to try to set up some times when we can all sit down and teach and learn from each others experiences.

Some of you may wonder why take the time to overclock at all.. Well, besides the fun that OC'ing can be it also teaches you how your components interact with one another and how to get the best performance out of the hardware you have.

So for example; gamers typically tend to be the group of people that OC their computers because it may give them better performance while in game which could lead to being a better player.

There are a freaking ton of benchmark test out there but we are only going to focus on a few of the main test that really show you what your computer can do before you OC it and what performance gains you get out of a solid OC once your done.

One thing to keep in mind. Overclocking your hardware puts more stress on the hardware than its stock performance settings would. So, you will need to make sure that you have adequate cooling to manage the additional heat that is going to be caused by overclocking your hardware.

Also, neither the forum owners, admins, members or visitors are responsible for any damage that may happen to your hardware while overclocking. You are 100% responsible for any and all damage that may occur from any advice revived here or on our Vent server.

Having said that, no one here will give you any advice with the purpose of intentionally damaging your hardware and if we find someone is doing so they will be kicked and banned from our site!

So. Lets have some fun gaming and OC'ing guys.
